Last Thursday, House Ways & Means Chairman Robert DeLeo sent the first part of the two budget increases (vetoed by the Governor) for homosexual programs in the schools to the floor for an override. And the override got passed.

As you know, these two budget item increases had been vetoed by Gov. Romney. And along with everything else sent to the floor that day, it was overwhelmingly passed by the (apparently) brain-dead full House and Senate, which was more interested in getting to the Cape early than any serious debate.

Romney had vetoed a 70% increase in funding for the poisonous “Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth” which our cowardly legislators had written into the 2006 budget. This so-called “Commission” funds the “Gay-Straight Alliance” clubs, “Day of Silence” events, and all kinds of other truly depraved homosexual programs aimed at schoolchildren. Including the event where the “Little Black Book” on homosexual sex acts was passed out to kids.

Last Thursday’s budget item, 7010-0005, gives the Department of Education $75,000 and instructs them to use that money for de facto homosexual programs. (See full explanation here.)

The other budget item, 4590-0250, will raise the amount for these programs by an additional $100,000. According to the House Clerk, this will go to the floor this coming Thursday, July 21 (unless DeLeo decides to stop it).

What happened last week?

LOTS of people did make calls. But unfortunately, both numbers we published in our email last week (DeLeo’s office number and his home number) were incorrect. That’s because DeLeo had moved his office within the last few months, and we had typed his home number incorrectly. This time we’ve got it right!

It’s DeLeo’s decision. He’s the Chairman, and, as his aide Toby Morelli explained in a message left on our office phone, DeLeo is the decision maker. This is a rep from a comparatively conservative district. He’s actually been listed as “pro-life” in the past by Mass. Citizens for Life. But he’s selling out to the homosexual lobby. He voted with them on marriage. And he’s willing to sacrifice your kids to keep that lobby happy. He doesn’t want to rock the boat.

Height of arrogance: DeLeo’s aide Toby Morelli left this message on our answering machine, and said he intends to “put it in my report” to make sure DeLeo includes these in the list of items to be overridden.

“The gay and lesbian youth programs, the chair strongly supports, and as far as the public health funding, for the line items 4590 and 7010 -- both of those are obviously of great importance to him as well. So I think there's a good chance they will be taken up in an override...The chair is very, very, very supportive of these programs and sees a great deal of importance in them. So you can rest assured on that.”

If you do nothing else, wherever you are, make sure that so-called “servant of the people” knows how YOU feel about this. DEMAND that he not put children in the hands of homosexual activists with public money. Let him know you are ANGRY at what he’s done. DEMAND that he keep budget item 4590-0250 from being overridden. Remind him about the “Little Black Book”, paid for with you money (see below).

Be persistent: Neither Rep. DeLeo nor his aide Toby Morelli have been returning calls, despite promises from their secretaries. In the arrogant fashion of Beacon Hill, they seem to believe they’re too important to talk to “the great unwashed” that pays their salaries.

State agencies pushing homosexual agenda

The gay movement publicly portrays these aggressive programs as "suicide prevention" and "violence prevention" as an intimidation ploy. Tragically, they are often exactly the opposite. They lead vulnerable children into a life of disease, violence, and self-destruction. In fact, these so-called suicide prevention programs have no legitimate medical or psychological basis; they are simply put together by homosexual activists to normalize homosexuality in the minds of kids.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when the public doesn’t do its job. When people sit back, over the years, and assume that our elected officials will actually represent our interests. It’s what happens when we take the advice of wimpy “pro-family” groups that advise us to always be polite and deferential to our public officials, even when they turn on us and push the culture of death. The special interests love it when we do that.

DeLeo, from all accounts, started out as a decent guy. Pro-life, pro-family. Member of the Knights of Columbus. But now he’s been in office 8 terms. And in a heavily Democratic district, he hasn’t had an opponent in the Democratic primary for as long as anyone can remember. And now he’s been elevated by the new Speaker into a leadership position, with more money, more prestige. And no pressure from the people. No need to rock the boat.

So DeLeo’s developed set of friends. Toby Morelli told us that DeLeo had been in close contact on this issue with Rep. Liz Malia (D-Boston), an openly lesbian member of the Ways & Means Committee. And we’ve heard that he meets with Arlene Isaacson (the lead homosexual lobbyist) and Sen. Jarrett Barrios (who’s “married” to another man) on these issues. But as far as we know, he doesn’t ask any of us what we think. Why should he?

And now DeLeo, and the others, are selling out your children to the depraved homosexual lobby, using your money.

This is a problem throughout the Massachusetts Legislature. And throughout the country. And YOU are going to change that. We are going to turn this around. Starting now. Get on the phones.

This is where the money for the “Governor’s Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth” ends up. This is what House Ways and Means Chairman DeLeo will continue to fund if he is successful in overriding Gov. Romney’s veto.

Titled “The Little Black Book – Queer in the 21^st Century,” it’s a hard-core pornographic homosexual "how-to" booklet given to hundreds of kids at Brookline High School this past April 30, at a gay activist “tolerance” conference. This is possibly the most disgusting thing you will ever see, but it continues to be defended by homosexual groups.

Recently, as you know, a Lexington father, David Parker was arrested, handcuffed, and spent the night in jail over his request to be notified, and allow for opt-out, if adults in school discuss homosexuality with his son in kindergarten. In Canada, in a case before the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, which began last Monday, gay activists are pushing for mandatory homosexual curriculum without parental opt-out!
