The Massachusetts Legislature's 2006 budget items -- passed on
Thursday, June 23 -- giving even more money to homosexual programs in the
schools!
Here are the budget items!
The main conduit for pushing homosexuality in the schools is the "Governor's
Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth" (GCGLY). Its members are among
the most radical gay activists in the state, and they are appointed by the
Governor. They coordinate with the national Gay, Lesbian, and Staight Education Network (GLSEN)
to fund the notorious "Gay-Straight Alliance" clubs in middle schools and high
schools, but also organize the homosexual assemblies, programs, plays,
literature, and other propaganda that goes to children in all grades.
Last year, the GCGLY got $250,000 of taxpayer money, funneled (ironically)
through the Department of Public Health budget. This year, the GCGLY gets
much more -- $425,000 -- a 70 percent increase. Heres how it's doled out:
This budget item, among funding for the Department of Public Health, gives
the GCGLY $350,000:
Budget Item: 4590-0250
For school health services and school-based health centers in
public and non-public schools; provided, that no funds shall be
expended in the AA object class for any personnel-related costs;
provided further, that services shall include but not be limited to:
(1) strengthening the infrastructure of school health services in
the areas of personnel and policy development, programming,
and interdisciplinary collaboration; (2) developing linkages
between school health services programs and community health
providers, and (3) incorporating health education programs,
including tobacco prevention and cessation activities in school
curricula and in the provision of school based health services
and (4) incorporating obesity prevention programs, including
nutrition and wellness programs in school curricula to address
the nutrition and lifestyle habits needed for healthy development;
provided further, that not less than $350,000 shall be expended
for the governor's commission on gay and lesbian youth;
provided further, that not less than not less than $200,000 shall
be expended on Area Health Education Centers; and provided
further, that said services shall meet standards and eligibility
guidelines established by the department of public health in
consultation with the department of education; provided further,
that $99,000 shall be expended to the H.E.L.P. program socalled,
for black males health; provided further, that $150,000
shall be expended for the childhood obesity school nutrition pilot
project, to initiate or maintain school lunch programs focused on
diminishing the epidemic of childhood obesity; and provided
further, that $12,000,000 shall be expended for school nurses
and school-based health centers
....................................................$14,568,309
This budget item, among funding for the Department of Education, gives the
GCGLY an additional $75,000. Note that it's even more insidious: it
legally instructs them to create "suicide prevention" and "anti-violence"
programs. These are the code-words for forcing pro-homosexual programs
into schools against the will of administrators. If school officials
resist, they're "helping kids kill themselves." In fact, these so-called
suicide prevention programs have no legitimate medical or psychological basis;
they are simply put together by homosexual activists to normalize homosexuality
in the minds of kids. A few years back, gay activists pressured the State
Board of Education into adopting these "recommendations" for schools.
Budget Item: 7010-0005
For the operation of the department of education; provided,
that
the department, in collaboration with the Governor's Commission
on Gay and Lesbian Youth, shall allocate not less than $75,000
for programming to ensure public schools’ compliance with the
Board of Education’s recommendations for the support and
safety of gay and lesbian students and the implementation of
related suicide-prevention and violence-prevention efforts;
provided further, that the department shall report to the
legislature on the feasibility of incorporating a median income
component into the current Chapter 70 school funding formula;
provided further, that said report shall be provided to the house
and senate chairs of the joint committee on education, the chairs
of the house and senate committees on ways and means, and
the secretary of administration and finance, no later than
September 15, 2005; provided further, that funds from this item
shall be expended for the salary of a deputy commissioner who
shall serve as a chief operating officer for the department, and
shall have responsibility for overseeing all operational details of
the department, in order to ensure that all offices and divisions
within said department operate according to a common strategic
vision and coordinated planning process, and that all actions,
public statements and decisions of deputy commissioners,
assistant commissioners, and staff are consistent with said
vision, and reflect board of education policy, the goals and intent
of the General Court, and all applicable statutory mandates and
requirements of the General Laws; provided further, that not later
than November 15, 2005, the department shall submit to the
secretary of administration and finance, the chairs of the house
and senate ways and means committees, and the house and
senate chairs of the joint committee on education a report on the
current organization of the department, with an operational flow
chart detailing responsibilities and duties of each deputy
commissioner, associate commissioner, or other person with
supervisory responsibility in the department; provided further,
that said report shall detail the means by which the department
shall coordinate planning and operations functions, and describe
the strategic vision of the department, along with a detailed
implementation plan for realizing that vision .................................................... $9,597,805
